PUBLIC DATABASE POLICY

We have a simple choice:

More privacy and more dysfunction

or

Less privacy and less dysfunction

Summary and Aims of our policy.

To create a single public database which serves the following functions:

To create complete accountability of government, all public services, institutions, businesses, and people, so that all forms of crime and corruption are fully minimised.

To publicly share all useful information between all organisations and all people, in order to create greater efficiency in the economy, thus increasing standard of living and the tax revenue available for public services.

To publicly share all useful information between all organisations and all people, in order to empower people with knowledge, and make it easier for people to access the services and solutions they need.

Current unresolved issues.

There are many issues that this policy aims to resolve, these are some of them.

  • Lack of simple information on the government, e.g. where are my taxes being spent, what is government policy on this, what is the relevant law to my problem?

  • Lack of information on companies, in order to ascertain the risks of dealing with them,  e.g. will they send you the product you have paid for, or is it safe to offer them credit terms as a business who wishes to trade with them?

  • Lack of information on the reputability of people. e.g. will this builder do a good job, is it safe to leave my children with this person, is my surgeon going to do a good job, what are the risks for an insurer when assessing a new client?

  • Different public services and institutions not communicating automatically amongst themselves, e.g. is this person playing the benefit system, is this person continually defaulting on credit card debts, why is this person not paying tax, but has 5 cars?

  • Lack of good information on all products manufactured and sold, e.g. is this product of a high quality, what are its specifications, where do I find and purchase spare parts, will it last.

There is great opportunity in our information technology age to wisely share information for the benefit of everyone.  Consider one of the examples above, businesses and individuals endlessly want to know if it is safe to trade with another business, or person, and want to know with confidence if they have a good reputation.  But it is quite often difficult to find the required information which might be spread over many platforms such as Trust Pilot, or Companies House, and for an unscrupulous sole trader it is likely that they will avoid creating any review history on any platforms, at all.  Could all of these problems and many others be resolved, can we hold every organisation and person accountable?

Our ultimate policy.

We recognise that we are brought up to consider privacy to be a good thing, and a basic human right, however it is the hiding place of all crime and dysfunction.  We always have a simple choice, sacrifice our privacy, and end crime, or retain privacy and retain crime with it.  We have many policies that work on this basis, we believe it is always better to let go of privacy where it hides crime, and have transparency, in order to eliminate crime.  Indeed we believe we need to change our consciousness, and regard transparency as a highly desirable basic human right, not privacy.

This policy is an ultimate policy because it is extremely stringent, but equally effective.  It would require many things to be in place first, and a profound change of consciousness, in order for it to work.  There would have to be much education first, in order for society to use it in a fully constructive way.  If we get this far, there would be far reaching benefits of it, which would resolve deep problems in our society, and facilitate everyone creating their dreams.  We hope that by explaining our policy below, this will become clearer, and you will see that each area of information that is published on the database, immediately reduces crime and dysfunction in that area, it is a simple relationship:

Our policy is to create a single public database, some of the features of which will be as follows:

The government, public services, every business, and every organisation, will have to have a public profile on the database.  This profile will contain all relevant information about the organisation, such as the entirety of its financial records, its assets, its debts, directors, employees and their roles, legal history and court orders, insurance claim history.  It will also directly interface with the organisation's website where they post details of all their products and services.  Anyone will be able to leave reviews on their profile regarding the organisation, its products or service, and any of its employees, and these reviews cannot be deleted, unless it is by court order.  With this system, any business, and any individual, will categorically know the reputability of any organisation they are dealing with, and if it is safe to do so.  Only organisations that are reputable in every way, will ever survive.

Every individual will have to have a public profile on the database.  This profile will contain all relevant information about them such as their DNA and finger prints (available to Police only for criminal investigation), their criminal record, where they work, their employment history and references, their health record (which can only be accessed by health professionals), their tax and benefit history, their financial history, savings, pensions, and debts, legal history and court orders, insurance claim history, etc.  Any crime that leaves the DNA of the perpetrator, will immediately be traceable to that person, and the process of criminal investigation and correct prosecution will become far more accurate, and quicker.  Anyone will be able to leave reviews on their profile regarding their experience with the individual, and these reviews cannot be deleted, unless it is by court order.  These reviews could be about your friend, your doctor, a teacher, an MP, or your landlord in the local pub.  The reviews must be honest and could be positive or negative, however in all cases they are to be constructive.  Anyone who is antisocial, uncooperative, unscrupulous, or criminal in any way will almost immediately create a permanent history of this on their profile.  With this system, any business, any potential employer, and any individual, will categorically know the individual they are dealing with, and if it is safe to do so.  Only people who are reputable in every way, will be trusted, and be able to function in society.

Everyone will be extensively trained in how to use the public database in a responsible way, and in particular how to make sure any reviews that are put up are strictly balanced, accurate, and constructive for all parties.  Anyone who abuses this system will rapidly themselves being taken through the criminal justice system, and having this put on their public profile.  Given that the criminal history will be publicly visible, it is essential that all people are taught how to be non judgemental, and have trust in the criminal justice system.  Those who have convicted crimes, and completed their punishment and rehabilitation, deserve to be accepted back into society, and have equal opportunity to live a fulfilled life.  This requires people to have a deep understanding of human behaviour; that we are all capable of error, and we are all equally capable of correcting those errors.  In order for this system to work, people must also have a deep trust in the criminal justice system, and its effectiveness of rehabilitating criminals, so that they are safe to enter back into society.  People and businesses therefore must be prepared to trust this system, and give reformed criminals fresh opportunities to enter back into constructive society, as their criminal record will be permanently and publicly visible at all times.  This requires a profound change in the consciousness and understanding of all of us, forgiveness and non judgement are the essential ingredients for this understanding, and extensive education will be provided on this throughout all of school.

The public database will directly interface with many other databases, such as the land registry, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), insurance databases, effectively making them one system.  Institutions, public services, and businesses will immediately have access to the information they need in order to make the best and correct decisions.  The public database will be fully integrated with our Transparent Banking System, which will mean that all the financial activity of everyone and every organisation, is publicly visible in real time.  There will be no where left to hide anything anymore.

We trust you can see now how stringent this policy is, but its benefits are equally far reaching. The policy would comprehensively make everything visible that needs to be, and eliminate nearly all crime and dysfunction.  The government, every organisation, institution, and individual, would have no choice but to behave in the best way at all times, or immediately be held fully accountable for it.  Everyone, with a very high level of certainty, would be able to know that they can trust the government, every institution, every business, and every individual they choose to deal with, indeed suspicion and conspiracy theories would be virtually eliminated.  We offer the British people, and the world, a simple choice, more privacy and more crime, or less privacy and less crime.
